Affiliation with Novant Health
We are proud of our affiliation with Novant Health and their commitment to high-quality healthcare. We invite you to visit www.novanthealth.org and the Quality & Safety page to learn about the high priority given to quality care.
Our physicians are board-certified in family medicine and strive to offer you the highest quality of medical care:
- Dr. James Schaffer is board-certified in family practice by the American Board of Family Medicine, certified in 2000; re-certified in 2007.
- Dr. Peter Mack is board-certified in family practice by the American Board of Family Medicine, certified in 2010.
Continuing medical education
We are required to pursue continuing medical education (CME) to maintain our certifications and licenses.
The North Carolina Medical Board requires physicians to document 50 hours of CMEs per year to maintain a license to practice in North Carolina. We have several ways to reach and exceed that level.
Dr. Mack and Dr. Schaffer attend CME courses both locally and nationally to stay current in the latest medical developments. In addition, our physicians attain CMEs through journal reading, attending lectures and conferences, and Internet-based medical resources.
Your opinions are important to us.
We strive to provide you with top-quality medical care and excellent customer service. We have patient feedback surveys in our office available for your comments. We use your comments and overall satisfaction ratings to help us improve our service to you. Please take the time to fill out a patient survey the next time you are in to see us.
